Who we are
At Rawnet, we're serious when it comes to keeping your data secure. We never sell, rent or trade email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. We want you to feel confident when browsing our website and to trust that we use your data in a compliant manner. In this privacy policy, we explain when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it and how we keep it secure.
Rawnet Limited is the controller of the personal information described here. We're registered in England and Wales (company number 03593941), with our registered office at Greenwood, London Road, Bracknell, RG12 2AA.
This policy covers rawnet.com and our free tools, Not Another Maturity Assessment (notanothermaturityassessment.rawnet.com) and Lucid (lucid.rawnet.com).

This website is designed to comply with the following legislation on data protection and user privacy:
- UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR)
- Data Protection Act 2018
- Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), which cover cookies
- EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR)
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact our privacy contact at hello@rawnet.com.
Types of data we collect
We may collect and process the following information about you, for the following reasons.
Google Analytics
With your consent, this website uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how people use the site. We use this data to find trends and improve the site. Although Google Analytics records your device's IP address, which could potentially be used to identify you, Google does not grant us access to this information, and no other information Google collects identifies you to us. We consider Google to be a third-party data processor.
Google Analytics uses cookies, which are only set if you accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Details of the cookies are in our cookie policy.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Find out how, and more about cookies, at aboutcookies.org (Rawnet does not control this website and is not responsible for its content. For the most current browser-specific information, consult your browser's manufacturer).
Contact form
When you send us a message through our contact form, we collect the details you give us: your name, work email address, company, what your enquiry is about, how you heard about us (if you tell us) and your message.
We use these details only to reply to your enquiry. The form sends your message to our team by email, delivered by Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES), and posts a notification with a short summary of your enquiry to our internal Slack workspace so the right person can respond quickly.
We don't add you to a mailing list.
Call-back requests
If you ask us to call you back, we collect the phone number and the message you give us, and use them only to call you about your enquiry. The request reaches our team in the same way as the contact form: by email through Amazon SES, with a notification in Slack.
Job applications
If you send us your CV or apply for a role, we use what you send us, such as your contact details, work history and anything else in your CV or covering note, only to consider you for roles at Rawnet.
Our free tools
Not Another Maturity Assessment and Lucid check the web page address you enter. Neither asks for your name or email, and we don't store the address you enter or the results.
To produce a Not Another Maturity Assessment report, the address and public information from that website are sent to Anthropic, whose AI model writes the report. To run a Lucid check, the address is sent to Google PageSpeed Insights.
Why we use your data, and our lawful basis
- Analytics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through "Cookie settings".
- Replying to enquiries and call-back requests: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Job applications: our legitimate interest in recruiting, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract of employment.
- Running the free tools: our legitimate interest in providing the tools you've asked to use.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and call-back requests: for as long as we need to reply and follow up, and for up to two years after our last contact, unless you become a client, when our client records take over.
- Job applications: for up to six months after we've considered you, unless you agree that we can keep your details for future roles, or you join us.
- Analytics: Google Analytics keeps data for 14 months.
- Free tools: we don't keep the addresses you enter or the results.
Who processes your data for us
- Google (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager): website analytics, only with your consent
- Google (PageSpeed Insights): running Lucid's checks
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): hosting and delivering this website (Amazon S3 and Amazon CloudFront), receiving contact form and call-back submissions (Amazon API Gateway and AWS Lambda) and delivering them by email (Amazon SES)
- Anthropic: the AI model behind Not Another Maturity Assessment
- Slack: internal notifications of new enquiries
How we store your personal information
Some of our processors are based outside the UK, so your information may be transferred to, and stored in, a country outside the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA). Where this happens, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK–US data bridge or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to standard contractual clauses.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information over the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to our site, and any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access. We hold ISO 27001 certification for information security management.
About this website's server
This website is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Its files are stored in Amazon S3 and delivered through Amazon CloudFront, a network of servers around the world that sends each page from a location near you. When you send us a message, the contact form is received by Amazon API Gateway and AWS Lambda and delivered to our team by email through Amazon SES.
Your rights
Under data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that's wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict how we use your information
- object to us using your information where we rely on our legitimate interests
- ask for your information in a portable format, where that applies
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it (for analytics, use "Cookie settings" in the footer)
To use any of these rights, email our privacy contact at hello@rawnet.com. We'll reply within one month.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first and we'll try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this privacy notice
We review our privacy notice from time to time, and any changes will be posted on this page.
