When you want an app without a second team

If your web team already works in React, React Native lets you build your iPhone and Android app from one codebase. We'll build it, or bring an older app up to date.

  • You need an app on iPhone and Android, and don't want to build it twice.

  • Your web front end is in React, and you'd like the app to share the skills and some of the code.

  • Your React Native app is on an old version, and the move to the new architecture keeps getting put off.

  • Apple or Google rejected an update, or a new OS version broke the app.

The things people usually ask

Plain answers on how React Native works, what it costs and what we need from you. Anything else, just ask.

Flutter or React Native?

Both build iPhone and Android apps from one codebase. React Native suits teams who already work in React, and uses each platform's own interface parts. Flutter draws its own interface, so the app looks identical on every device. We'll recommend one based on your team and what the app needs to do.

Can our app share code with our React website?

Some. The skills, the tooling and much of the business logic carry over. The interface is built separately, because phones and browsers work differently.

Our app is on an old version of React Native. Is that a problem?

It will be. Recent versions have removed the old architecture, so older apps can't take new versions, and the stores' yearly requirements eventually force an update. We'll audit the app and plan the upgrade.

What does an app cost?

It depends on the features, the platforms and the systems it connects to. We scope and price it after a discovery call.

Will you keep it working after iOS and Android updates?

Yes. Apple and Google change their requirements every year, and apps that aren't updated can't release new versions. Ongoing support keeps yours current.

Why was our app rejected?

Common reasons are missing privacy details, crashes and features that don't match the store listing. We'll read the rejection, fix the cause and resubmit.
