We've spoken a lot about there being two camps when it comes to the world right now. Those who adapt, and those who stop.
The recent social distancing guidelines have presented huge challenges or so many businesses, and arguably one of the hardest hit industries is property. Hunters Estate agents, one of our long-term clients, have adapted and shifted their home visit valuations to virtual valuations, coming up with a concept and working with us to get it live on their site within just two days. Since launching virtual valuations, Hunters have had a huge uplift in enquiries - a 50% increase compared to home visit valuations before Covid-19 hit. Well done to all the team at Hunters!
We are in a situation that demands we totally change our mindset. As individuals, as businesses and as a society, it has never been so important that we all commit to a path that allows EVERYONE to make it through. Our economy will continue to shrink and as the volume goes down, we have to ensure that whilst earnings and profits will inevitably drop, continuing to conduct business to some level will ensure the survival of thousands of businesses and with that, the livelihoods of millions of people.
In short, the wheels can and will slow. We just cannot afford them to stop.
