Business Development Manager

Role overview

Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record in B2B enterprise sales? Do you thrive in dynamic environments and excel at building C-Level relationships? If so, this role could be for you!

As our Business Development Manager, you will leverage your extensive network to identify and drive new business opportunities. From nurturing leads to closing deals, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client portfolio. Your strategic insights and industry expertise will empower our Strategy (Product, Brand, Creative, UX, and Marketing) and Technology teams to consult, innovate, and deliver bespoke solutions, thereby maintaining our status as a valued partner.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities, including emerging markets, potential clients, strategic partnerships, and innovative products and services.
  • Lead our Strategy and Technology teams to construct solutions.
  • Leverage your existing network while cultivating new client relationships. Understand their needs, create bespoke proposals to meet them, and ensure buy-in from decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Marketing Manager and Commercial Director to build our brand presence, explore new business opportunities, and develop comprehensive business cases.
  • Manage and organise our HubSpot lead nurturing pipeline, ensuring effective lead management.
  • Pitch and present solutions to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with their needs and company goals.
  • Estimate complex projects, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure all client interactions are strategic and insightful. 
  • Oversee multiple opportunities simultaneously, to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competition, and market dynamics to maintain our market positioning.
  • Attend and represent us at conferences and industry events to build relationships with key stakeholders and stay abreast of industry trends.
  • Innovate, streamline, and automate processes within the business development function to drive efficiency and growth.
  • Create and manage detailed sales forecasts, actively working towards meeting and exceeding targets.

About you

  • 5+ years experience as a business development manager, business analyst, or consultant in a digital agency environment or equivalent.
  • Excels in dynamic environments, and enjoys team collaboration, client engagement, and problem-solving.
  • Experienced in independently identifying opportunities and guiding teams towards bespoke creative, UX and technical solutions.
  • Deep understanding of product Strategy, Brand, User Experience, Acquisition, Technology, and industry best practices.
  • Target-driven with a demonstrated track record of high performance and success in a dynamic and fast-moving sales environment.
  • A strong passion for the digital industry, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.
  • Consistently meets and often exceeds targets through strategic planning and leadership.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field could be an advantage.
